Another reason we use Flikr is because of the vast amount of public photos which you can view.  For some of the best, follow the 'Galleries' link on our Flickr page.  To see even more of the area, why not search the entire site for 'Ferry Meadows' and 'Nene Park' or 'Peterborough' too!

Having said that, there's also a nice collection from 'The Guv' (who produced our videos) here at Picasaweb.

Videos
We've put together a selection of videos to show you all about Poshboatz, Ferry Meadows and the River Nene.  To view, simply click on the image next to the title you want to see.  This offers the best quality by playing in the media player on your computer - but don't forget to turn on your speakers first!

If you don't have a media player installed you can get the Windows Media Player free here or if you prefer you can watch the videos on Youtube, but you do lose a little of the quality.

All the videos are made by Martin Vos at G. G. Productions, to whom we are extremely grateful.  You can find more of his work and read about his filming for these videos here and in his subsequent blogs.
Ferry Cross The Meadows
A great introduction to the boat, the lake, the river and all we do!

Set to music from 'The Onedin Line' the film encapsulates a little of everything that is available with Poshboatz.  It leads in with dawn, introduces the boat on the lake and highlights some of the bird life.  The big orchestral crescendo presents the centrepiece of the film - the high speed runs.  As this subsides, we move on to beautiful river shots,
before returning to the lake for the finale.

When The Boat Comes In
Public trips around Overton Lake

The pace of this film remains constant, mirroring the boat's calm, leisurely, relaxing pace throughout our regular 'turn up and go' trips.  The soundtrack, Clair de Lune by Debussy, gently flows along with the feel of a lazy Sunday afternoon.

So, be seated in the sumptuous leather armchair, take a sip of your lightly chilled Sauvignon Blanc 1998 and nibble on a chocolate Hobnob as we cast off on a circuit of the lake …

Lake and River Cruise Charters Where Peaceful Waters Flow
Boat and skipper for your private use on the lake or the river

Beautiful scenery, strong reflections, narrowboats and cabin cruisers, bridges, fishermen, golfers and other wildlife(!) - a private charter out onto the River Nene is a wonderful to spend a couple of hours.

Sit back, relax and see what you are missing.

The Fast and The Curious
High Speed Boating at Ferry Meadows

Mostly our trips and charters are about relaxing and chilling out.  But hey, we all like a bit of fun!  So why not finish off a charter with a couple of fast runs along the length of the lake.  Or talk to the crew if you plan to 'turn up and go': often we can fit 'The FAST One' into our regular schedule.

The centrepiece of this film is a glorious 360 degree panorama as the boat describes a circle in the middle of Overton Lake.  There is a real sporting feel to the film and if you ever feel the need for speed, you'll enjoy the music!

Meadow's Way - Birdlife at Ferry Meadows
Too much good footage to lose

Birds and wildfowl appear in all the other films but we still had some good shots left over.  And since our feathered friends are such a part of life on the water we've pulled together all the best bits for no other reason than they are great to watch.

Mute Swan, Great Crested Grebe, Coot, Moorhen, Mallard, Gulls, Geese, Ducks, Heron, Cormorant........ Enjoy!

To see and share more photos, we recommend Flickr - we think it's the best photo hosting site on the web.  It's easy to use and you can view every photo in full screen; you can find Poshboatz Photos here.

suddenly he stood by the edge of a full-fed river."
