Special Services for Schools
Just JulyOn term days throughout July, schools can enjoy a specially extended 15 minute trip out of Ferry Meadows to see the River Nene. Being out in the open air is great for kids, and a boat trip can be the highlight of the day. It's great fun for an end of term treat, not available to the general public and it also fits in with several different elements of the curriculum.
In geography, it gives children the opportunity to experience a lake, a man-made channel, a flood plain and a river; and in Science, the chance to see plants and animals including nests and waterfowl chicks, and to learn about the fish refuges.
'Just July' Prices
£1.50 per child (min. £75 per booking)
We welcome your call to discuss timings, numbers and the trip - but if you work on us taking around 36 children per hour, in 3 separate trips, you won't be far wrong.

Private Charters
We are also available for Private Charter at all other times, both for educational and pleasure events, including your 'end of year' staff party.

And finally .....
..... a word on the weather! The boat is open top and so not suited to running in heavy rain! There is no booking fee or deposit required and so if it is raining on the day you can simply cancel the trip and owe nothing.
